EXIT Regional Refresher Day 2

Day 2 for the EXIT Regional Refresher was a great day. Bob Mckinnon gave an excellent presentation to start the day. Then, he led a series of regional owners presentations to the overall group. It was fascinating to see the depth of the capabilities of the regional owners. The other aspect was the topic was the same, but the diversity of approaches was amazing.

Angel Tucker provided a training session on DISC personality analysis in the afternoon session. The only negative thing I have to say is that it was too short! Angel (playing with pain because of a broker foot) led the group in a focused discussion on the DISC attributes and the impact of them on the sales process. It was a fascinating discussion.

Christina Ireborg gave an update on Habitat For Humanity and the impact the money that EXIT Realty is pumping into that organization is having. As EXIT Realty grows, the number and frequency of the Habitat builds sponsored by EXIT is growing rapidly.

Tonight was a free night so Alan Dirks (EXIT Minnesota and EXIT Wisconsin) and I took a trip around the memorials in Washington. It has been a few years and I forgot how breathtaking the memorials are. The weight of history and the realization of the sacrifices of those that came before have an incredible impact. From the words of Abraham Lincoln to the Vietnam Memorial Wall.....you cannot visit here and not be affected.

I look forward to returning later this year for the convention to spend more time exploring Washington and soaking up the history of this incredible nation.

Welcome from Washington DC! I am here for the EXIT Realty April Regional Refresher. This annual event allows the regional owners to tour the facility that will be used for the EXIT annual convention later this year. This years convention will be held at the Gaylord National. This brand new facility will be perfect for our broker/owners and associates.

You should see this place. The Gaylord National is an amazing hotel. Here is a couple of shots of the lobby!

The convention is going to be a fantastic event. We also got a preview of a featured speaker. Mr. John Miller (Not our John Miller!), the author of QBQ! "The Question Behind the Question". Mr. Miller gave a fantastic presentation to the regional owners and will be at the annual convention to share his thoughts with the complete EXIT family. (Picture at top of post is Mr. Miller and yours truly!) You will not want to miss it.

EXiT Realty of Lubbock: Good at House Hunting and Egg Hunting

EXIT Realty of Lubbock helped the city celebrate the Easter holiday with an egg hunt and general good time. How appropriate of an event to put on for a company whose associates are usually out doing the hunting. For houses that is.

Owner and real estate agent, Russell McGuire, commented that everyone had a great time at the egg hunt. He also remarked that their real estate market hadn't seen much of a slow down and was even in an upswing.

So, yes, even in the extremely busy world of real estate where time truly is of the essence, these agents managed to take a break while giving back more to the community than just their unprecedented real estate counsel.

Mindset2009: EXiT Realty's Founder and CEO is at the Forefront Again

Attendees lined up early at the New Braunfels Civic Center on March 5th. They came from all over the state to hear the revolutionary founder and CEO of EXiT Realty International, Steve Morris.

In true EXiT Realty fashion these attendees were excited, anxious, and certainly ready to hear what the founder of our ground breaking real estate company had to say in the midst of all the economic "bad news".

As the next several hours played out for the 120+ present, most were reaffirmed as to why they were a part of the fastest growing real estate franchise ever. Those in the room who had come to see if all they had heard about EXiT Realty being the best real estate system to belong to was true left ready to join their nearest brokerage.

Was it because of the pure and (still) unheard of logic the EXiT Realty system brings? Yes, being the first and only real estate company that offers members the opportunity to earn more than 100% of their commissions? That's definitely a part of the overwhelming response.

On a local level, we have just participated in our first Habitat for Humanity Build in New Braunfels, TX. End of Year... Not So Bad

It's hard to believe we are already at the end of another year! With 2008 being filled with historical, monumental, and action packed happenings it's easy to see how it all flew by so fast.

What's a little more difficult to see these days is the good side of our current economic state. Especially when it comes to the real estate industry.

We, however, at EXIT Texas have lots of good news to spread around and lots of memories worth celebrating from 2008.

Here are some of my favorite things for EXIT Realty from 2008:

Tons of central Texas EXIT Agents given top industry awards.
Lots of Industry Trade Shows where EXIT Realty dominated the event.
Austin consistently named one of the top places to live by tons of different publications and polls. Something those of us living here already knew.
Central Texas identified as one of the fastest growing regions in our country for all kinds of traditionally tracked sectors.
Texas being named the "Lone star" of our countries economy... holding strong and even growing in areas other places are falling quickly behind.

Linda Rasmussen, who is part owner and full time top producer at Exit Realty TC Austin, was named 2008 Realtor Salesperson of the year. From serving on the San Antonio Board of Realtors, Board of Directors, and numerous other committees while running her business to sharing a life on the move with husband Thomas W. Carter, Lt Col USAF Retired, Linda has continued to be a forerunner in the Central Texas market.

I often wonder, when hearing of such successes in this turbulent industry, how they have done it. What fabric of human nature have they managed to either be born with, learned over time, or recently discovered that has propelled them into the arms of success?

With Linda Rasmussen, maybe it was all those years spent moving on short notice or overseas with her then active serviceman that made her so naturally good at real estate. Pierre Kennel Shines with amazing $100,000 Win!

One year has made a tremendous difference in Pierre Kennel’s life, as he has transformed from being out of work to engaging in a real estate career that has brought him an amazing $100,000 win. Established in 1999, NAHREP is a nonprofit 501C3 trade association. NAHREP was created to establish a venue where members can congregate, exchange ideas, and formulate an agenda beneficial to the collective well being of our segment of the industry. With an overall goal to increase the percentage rate of homeownership for Hispanic Americans, we have created partnerships with leading corporations that share our vision that an investment in the Hispanic community is an investment in America's future.

Held at the Austin Hilton in downtown Austin, we had over 225 guest attend a great session with Steve Morris of EXIT Realty. Wow! The competition really doesn't know what is hitting them in Texas. EXIT Realty had an amazing presence at the TAR Convention 2006. No other booth came close to the excitement and energy of the EXIT booth. Some of our competition (KW, Avalar, Sellstate, Century 21...) didn't even to bother showing up!!!!

EXIT Star of Texas Realty located in Bastrop Texas is now open! This brand new first class facility is home to Stephanie Daniel and her agent team.

Great story behind this picture. This is Ken Lilly. He is with the San Antonio office. Ken was the very first agent that Jack and I engaged in the Central Texas region. We met Ken in December of 2004. The problem at that time is that we did not have an office for him to work out of. So he waited while we found a broker/owner for an office in the San Antonio area. EXIT Realty Central Texas was inducted into the Austin chapter of the Women's Council of REALTORS(R) WCR. We are very excited about being a member of the Austin chapter. The WCR is an outstanding organization committed to the support and education of women REALTORS(R).

Recently Betty Kincad (EXIT Realty Las Vegas) became the national president of WCR. WCR and EXIT Realty share the same relentless focus on agents and agent welfare.

With the induction of EXIT Realty Central Texas into the Austin chapter of WCR, EXIT Realty Central Texas will work to provide support and resources to advance the cause of the WCR.

Amazing Regional Meeting

The EXIT Realty Mid-Year regional meeting was an incredible success. The Gaylord Texas facility was fantastic. It is going to be an excellent facility for our upcoming annual convention. Broker/Owners and agents are going to find incredible service and support at the convention. This convention is going to amaze all that attend it.

Progress reports on the growth of the company were glowing. EXIT Realty has sold over 600 franchises and has reached a recruited agent count of 14,000! All this in less than 6 years. Nothing short of amazing! And the wave is just started to really grow.

We also reviewed the progress of a number of new and innovative Broker/Owner and Agent programs that will debut later this week. Can't do into detail here....but those programs will continue to position EXIT Realty head and shoulders above every other real estate company out there. Stay tuned for more details in the near future!

We are extremely busy here in Central Texas. With the large number of franchise sales, we are busy supporting the launches of those franchises. Every day we hear of exciting new progress from our franchise owners. The wave is just starting in Central Texas...but when it hits real estate in Central Texas will never be the same!

We had an incredible convention at the WCAOR - Williamson County Association of Realtors. The show had a great turn out and the EXIT Realty Central Texas booth was busy all day long. The EXIT formula is a winner and the reaction by the agents in attendance was fantastic. It was also the first outing for the EXIT Realty Central Texas new show booth. I will be posting some more pictures and background information about the show.
