EXIT Regional Refresher Day 2

Day 2 for the EXIT Regional Refresher was a great day. Bob Mckinnon gave an excellent presentation to start the day. Then, he led a series of regional owners presentations to the overall group. It was fascinating to see the depth of the capabilities of the regional owners. The other aspect was the topic was the same, but the diversity of approaches was amazing.

Angel Tucker provided a training session on DISC personality analysis in the afternoon session. The only negative thing I have to say is that it was too short! Angel (playing with pain because of a broker foot) led the group in a focused discussion on the DISC attributes and the impact of them on the sales process. It was a fascinating discussion.

Christina Ireborg gave an update on Habitat For Humanity and the impact the money that EXIT Realty is pumping into that organization is having. As EXIT Realty grows, the number and frequency of the Habitat builds sponsored by EXIT is growing rapidly.

Tonight was a free night so Alan Dirks (EXIT Minnesota and EXIT Wisconsin) and I took a trip around the memorials in Washington. It has been a few years and I forgot how breathtaking the memorials are. The weight of history and the realization of the sacrifices of those that came before have an incredible impact. From the words of Abraham Lincoln to the Vietnam Memorial Wall.....you cannot visit here and not be affected.

I look forward to returning later this year for the convention to spend more time exploring Washington and soaking up the history of this incredible nation.

Regional Refresher Update

Welcome from Washington DC! I am here for the EXIT Realty April Regional Refresher. This annual event allows the regional owners to tour the facility that will be used for the EXIT annual convention later this year. This years convention will be held at the Gaylord National. This brand new facility will be perfect for our broker/owners and associates.

You should see this place. The Gaylord National is an amazing hotel. Here is a couple of shots of the lobby!

The convention is going to be a fantastic event. We also got a preview of a featured speaker. Mr. John Miller (Not our John Miller!), the author of QBQ! "The Question Behind the Question". Mr. Miller gave a fantastic presentation to the regional owners and will be at the annual convention to share his thoughts with the complete EXIT family. (Picture at top of post is Mr. Miller and yours truly!) You will not want to miss it.

EXiT Realty of Lubbock: Good at House Hunting and Egg Hunting

EXIT Realty of Lubbock helped the city celebrate the Easter holiday with an egg hunt and general good time. How appropriate of an event to put on for a company whose associates are usually out doing the hunting. For houses that is.

Owner and real estate agent, Russell McGuire, commented that everyone had a great time at the egg hunt. He also remarked that their real estate market hadn't seen much of a slow down and was even in an upswing.

So, yes, even in the extremely busy world of real estate where time truly is of the essence, these agents managed to take a break while giving back more to the community than just their unprecedented real estate counsel.
